Fred Loomis

Vice President of Sales

Fred Loomis serves as the Vice President of Sales where he leads the company’s sales and technical teams along with maintaining key account relationships. He also works very closely with all of W&O’s Regional and branch managers in North America who serve their local marketplace.

Fred has been with W&O for 24 years after sailing on tugs for 12 years including 10 with our good customer Reinauer Transportation. Starting as Northeast Sales representative and growing into roles that include starting our Engineered Products team, Director of Navy and Government sales and VP of Technical Projects. Fred is an active member of Shipbuilders Council and SNAME, staying involved with legislative and issues that affect the maritime industry. 

Kristof Adam

Managing Director

Kristof is the Managing Director and oversees activities in Europe and Asia.

After completing his studies in Logistics at de Karel de Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp Belgium, Kristof joined Dissaco, a forwarding company.  Dissaco is situated in the center of Antwerp’s port and it was here that Kristof developed his passion for ships. He left the forwarding world to work for Hydrex, a specialized company performing worldwide underwater repairs on vessels.  Kristof was with Hydrex for 10 years and performed different roles.  The last 2 years at Hydrex, Kristof was General Manager for the Group.

Kristof joined W&O in 2011, to develop the activities of W&O in Europe. In 2016 he added the responsibility for W&O Asia office in Singapore.

Together with his wife, Kristof is raising two boys. Kristof enjoys playing tennis and is a big fan of all bike sports.

Cliff McKinney

Chief Financial Officer

Cliff McKinney is the Chief Financial Officer for W&O where he oversees the company’s financial matters including banking, insurance, and cash management.

Prior to joining W&O, Mr. McKinney began his finance career at FedEx and later Accredo Health, both based in Memphis, TN. He and his family moved to Jacksonville in 2013, and he has spent most of the past decade working in various roles at APR Energy. He most recently served as Head of Finance at APR, and in that capacity led the corporate and long-term planning, operational finance, and commercial and M&A finance teams. He was also a key player in APR’s cash and debt management, statutory and corporate reporting, shared services, and strategic planning efforts.

Cliff graduated from Presbyterian College with a BA in English Literature and earned his MBA with Finance concentration at Wake Forest University. Cliff is an avid golfer and spends most of his free time on the golf course or hanging out with his wife and two daughters.

Michael Mickle

Vice President of Operations and Corporate Compliance

Michael Mickle began his career as a petroleum engineer and project manager for Sperry Sun Drilling Services, providing technology-based drilling services to the major oil companies. He was focused on upstream oil and gas exploration and introduced the company's services into the North Sea operating theatre. Sperry Sun is now part of the Halliburton corporation.

After receiving his Master’s degree, Mr. Mickle worked on the development and application of supply-chain technologies for the transportation and logistics industry. His work brought him to Jacksonville, Florida, where he joined Crowley Maritime and later helped to start Crowley's logistics company and also assembled Crowley's yield-management program. When Hamburg Süd acquired Crowley's South America business, Mike joined Hamburg Süd as Vice President of Trade Management.

Mr. Mickle’s education includes a petroleum-engineering degree from Louisiana State University, a MBA from the University of North Carolina and logistics training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's executive summer program.

Valeria Jackson

Vice President of IT and Business Solutions

Valeria Jackson leads technology and innovation for W&O Supply, where she directs, manages and aligns the portfolio of projects and programs with organizational strategic objectives, goals and priorities.

Valeria began her career with Andersen Consulting in Brazil, gaining unparalleled experience in the mergers and acquisitions space, while also establishing herself as a respected project portfolio manager. Valeria is proud to call Jacksonville, FL home, where her career and background led her to helping start Crowley Maritime’s international logistics division. Valeria was also part of the Project Management Office at Everbank prior to joining W&O.

Valeria is a Project Management Professional, a Certified Scrum Master and has earned her degree in Computer Science and a Juris Doctorate from the Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Parana in Brazil. Valeria loves cycling, yoga and spending time with her family and pets.

Carl Herman

Vice President of Materials Management

Carl serves as the Vice President of Materials Management where he leads the company’s product procurement team along with the business intelligence group.

Carl began his career in 1991 when he joined W&O as a warehouseman in our Virginia Beach, Va. Location. He steadily worked his way through the ranks of the organization holding positions along the way such as Branch Manager, Regional Manager and Senior Director of Strategic Pricing prior to taking on his current role.

As an avid and competitive cyclist, Carl loves all things bikes and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
